PRIVACY POLICY
How we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information. Written to meet the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Information Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).

1 · WHO WE ARE
The business that collects and holds your personal information is GS Worldwide LLC, trading as Beverley Lane, of 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Contact: info@beverleylane.com.
We are an overseas business selling to customers in Australia and New Zealand, and Australian and New Zealand privacy law applies to us.
2 · WHAT WE COLLECT
| Category | Detail |
|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number if provided |
| Order information | Items purchased, sizes, order value, order history, returns and refunds |
| Payment information | Payment method and confirmation of payment. We do not collect or store full card numbers |
| Account information | Username, password and saved preferences, if you create an account |
| Correspondence | Emails and messages you send us, including photographs submitted with a claim |
| Marketing preferences | Whether you have opted in to email or SMS marketing |
| Technical information | IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site |
We do not seek sensitive information, and we do not use facial recognition, body scanning or any other biometric tool.
3 · HOW WE COLLECT IT
Directly from you when you order, create an account, subscribe, contact us or leave a review. Automatically through cookies and similar technologies. And in limited cases from others — payment providers, carriers, advertising and analytics platforms, and referral or giveaway partners.
Where we obtain your details from a source other than you, we will tell you that we have collected them, why, who we may share them with, who we are and our address, any law authorising the collection, and how to access or correct them.
4 · WHY WE COLLECT IT
To process, fulfil and deliver your order; to process payments and refunds; to handle returns and claims; to provide customer service; to prevent and investigate fraud; to send marketing where you have opted in; to improve our store; and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We cannot process or deliver an order without your name, delivery address, email address and a valid payment. Other information, including your phone number and marketing consent, is optional and refusing it will not affect your order.
5 · WHO WE DISCLOSE IT TO
Shopify, which hosts our store; payment providers; our supplier, warehouse and fulfilment partners; freight forwarders, customs brokers and carriers, and the Australian Border Force and New Zealand Customs; email and SMS platforms; analytics and advertising platforms including Meta and Google; customer support tools; and professional advisers, regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
6 · SENDING YOUR INFORMATION OVERSEAS
Your personal information is sent to and handled in countries other than your own, most commonly:
| Country | Recipients |
|---|---|
| United States | Our own business, Shopify, payment providers, email and SMS platforms, analytics and advertising platforms |
| Canada | Shopify |
| China, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, Vietnam | Supplier, warehouse and fulfilment partners, freight forwarders, customs brokers |
| Ireland and the European Union | Certain advertising and payment providers |
Before disclosing your information overseas we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that the recipient will not breach the Australian Privacy Principles, and that it is required to protect your information in a way that provides safeguards comparable to the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) — usually by contract.
Where we rely on your authorisation rather than a contract, an overseas recipient may not be required to protect your personal information in a way that provides safeguards comparable to those in the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
7 · AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
We use automated fraud and risk screening on orders. For the purposes of Australian Privacy Principle 1.7:
| Information used | Order details, payment method and outcome, delivery and billing address, device identifier and IP address, order history |
| Decisions made solely by a computer program | Flagging an order for manual review; declining and refunding an order where the fraud score exceeds our threshold |
| Decisions a computer program contributes to | Holding, cancelling or refunding an order following a manual review prompted by an automated score |
A person will review the decision on request. Email us with your order number.
8 · COOKIES AND TRACKING
We use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta pixel, Google Analytics and Google Ads tags, to operate the store, measure performance and show you our advertising elsewhere. Some collect information that can identify you and share it with those platforms, which use it for their own purposes as well.
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in our cookie banner, manage cookies in your browser settings, and use the ad-preference controls offered by Meta and Google. Essential cookies are required for checkout to function.
Australian and New Zealand law does not require your consent before setting cookies. We offer the choice regardless. We would need your express consent to collect sensitive information through tracking, and our tracking is configured so that it is not collected.
9 · MARKETING
We send marketing only to people who have opted in, and we never use a pre-ticked box. Every marketing message identifies us and includes a free unsubscribe option, actioned within 5 business days. Messages about an order you have placed are not marketing.
10 · RETENTION AND SECURITY
| Data | Retained |
|---|---|
| Order and transaction records | 7 years, for tax and accounting purposes |
| Correspondence | 3 years from closure |
| Account information | Until you close your account |
| Marketing contact details | Until you unsubscribe, then suppressed |
| Website analytics | No more than 26 months |
We use encrypted connections, restrict access to customer data, require multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts, and review the applications and vendors that can access our data.
We maintain a data breach response plan. Where a breach is likely to cause serious harm we will notify you and the relevant regulator — the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner under Part 6 of the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
11 · YOUR RIGHTS
You may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you and to provide a copy. We will respond within 20 working days for New Zealand customers and within 30 days for Australian customers, free of charge.
You may ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, and to delete your information where we are not legally required to keep it. You may opt out of marketing at any time, and you may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym for general enquiries, though not when placing an order.
Email info@beverleylane.com. We may need to verify your identity first.
12 · CHILDREN
Our store is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, contact us and we will delete it.
13 · COMPLAINTS
Email info@beverleylane.com and we will investigate and give you a written response within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, in New Zealand, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz). In Australia the OAIC will normally expect you to raise the matter with us first.
14 · CHANGES
We may update this policy, for example when we change a service provider or when the law changes. The date below shows when we last did.
